Event Rules & Awards

Mini Miss Wool Pageant Rules

1. Contestants must be between the ages of 6-14 on pageant day to compete.
2. Contestant or Contestants’ parents (if child is under 18 years of age) affirm that she is and will continue to be a person of good character.
3. Contestant and Contestant’s Supporters, Guests, or Visitors, will conduct themselves in a respectful, professional manner at all times during the Mini Miss Wool Pageant. Bad sportsmanship is NOT tolerated and will be grounds for removal of Contestant from the pageant without refund.
4. Contestant promises not to slander the Mini Miss Wool Pageant, its directors, peers, judges, volunteers or anyone else affiliated with the pageant.
5. Contestant and Contestants’ parents or legal guardians agree to abide by eligibility requirements and affirm that all information provided is true.
6. Contestant agrees to provide an original copy of her birth certificate to verify age and gender upon request.
7. The Mini Miss Wool Pageant can change the dates and venue of the national pageant as is deemed necessary.
8. One adult only is permitted in dressing room for Mini Miss Wool contestants only and will be given a wristband for access.
9. No boys or men are allowed in dressing rooms at anytime – not even fathers. NO EXCEPTIONS.
10. No smoking of any form allowed.
11. Drugs are not allowed – period.
12. Contestants MUST abide by all rules. Parents of any contestant not observing all rules will be contacted and the girl will be sent home without refund.
13. All Fees are Non-Refundable.
14. Tickets to view the Pageant will be available to the public for $15 each.
15. Only 2 seating tickets will be comped for each contestant in a reserved area.

Judging Categories

As a contestant, you will be judged in 3 equal categories – Western, Natural and Talent. Our judges will include local celebrities and businesspeople who could impact your career choices.

Scoring for each Category will be based on a 1-10 scale. 1 being low and 10 highest. Winner ratings will be scored from highest to lowest.

Western Wear – Western wear is a cowgirl or rodeo themed outfit that you would see in West Texas.

Natural Wear – Contestants are encouraged to choose a dress that fits their personality and personal style.

Talent – showcase a 3-4 minute performance, skill, or craft

Awards

MINI MISS WOOL – Category A
1st Place will be crowned Mini Miss Wool and will be presented with a sash and trophy. Winner will be given an opportunity to ride on Downtown San Angelo’s Rodeo Parade float in 2025 and may have a special appearance at the 9th Annual Brews Ewes & BBQ event.

2nd-3rd Places will be presented with sashes and trophies.

JR. MISS WOOL – Category B
1st Place will be crowned Junior Miss Wool and will be presented with a sash and trophy. Winner will be given an opportunity to ride on Downtown San Angelo’s Rodeo Parade float in 2025 and may have a special appearance at the 9th Annual Brews Ewes & BBQ event.

2nd-3rd Places will be presented with sashes and trophies.

ROYAL MISS WOOL – Category B
1st Place will be crowned Royal Miss Wool and will be presented with a sash and trophy. Winner will be given an opportunity to ride on Downtown San Angelo’s Rodeo Parade float in 2025 and may have a special appearance at the 9th Annual Brews Ewes & BBQ event.

2nd-3rd Places will be presented with sashes and trophies.
